People who own and manage small businesses have one common characteristic; they are technically excellent at what they supply to their customers. They have developed their organisations and achieved successes based on hard work, ‘running a tight ship’ and being innovative and entrepreneurial. We at CBS applaud the small business owner manager as this is the world we operate in.

Clients do not always understand the world of their small business supply chain and expect them to ‘jump through fiery hoops’ to gain access to or remain on approved supplier lists. They issue pre-qualification questionnaires and tender documents in a ‘one size fits all’ format that maybe second nature to larger organisations with departments that deal with these but at the smaller end of the supply chain these can be confusing and time consuming with little guidance and support.
